Extraction systems for the glass industry

Emissions of hazardous substances can occur during the production and processing of glass, porcelain and ceramics. Exposure to the dust, which is a risk for employees and machines, increases during cutting, sawing, drilling, milling, grinding and engraving. Not only can dusts from ceramic products and glass cause mechanical irritation (micro-injury) to the eyes and skin, but the fine dust and mist are also a risk for the respiratory tract.

How extraction systems are deployed in the glass industry

The advantages of air extraction and filtering not only support health and safety at work but may also help to reduce heating and cleaning costs. Moreover, higher employee motivation and product quality can be achieved. The systems can be used in the following areas:

  • konsequente Arbeitshygiene

NOVUS extraction solutions for glass and ceramics

There are several applications for NOVUS extraction systems when working with glass and ceramics. From simple extraction at engraving workstations to extraction systems for large glass melting or glazing companies.

Dry dust extraction

The Air-P-Line is part of the Air-Line family and has been specially developed for the centralised extraction of dry and free-flowing dusts. Read more about its construction and functioning on the product page.

For stationary piping systems

This variant is suitable for localised extraction of contaminated air from up to 16 welding workstations. Advantages include energy-efficient recirculated air mode in winter and the low cost and effort of installation. Read more about its construction and functioning on the product page.

NOVUS offers a comprehensive product portfolio ranging from plug & play devices to customer-specific centralised or decentralised extraction systems, from best selling line to custom units and attachments.
